Fall Apple Picking

IMG_4830

Fall is the season for apple picking! This was the first time I’ve been apple picking, so I wanted to share some tips that are helpful and will make my next time more efficient.

  1. Research which types of apples will be available and ripe when you are planning to go apple picking, and choose which types of apples you would like to pick.
  2. Choose a couple recipes and decide how many pounds of apples you will need.
  3. At my local orchard, 20 pounds of apples cost less than 19 pounds. This means if you buy more, you save more, so bring a friend and split a basket of apples to make things more cost friendly.
  4. Wear comfortable shoes! Stepping in decomposing apples is no fun in ballet flats.

Happy apple picking! xx, &annabelle
