Fall is the season for apple picking! This was the first time I’ve been apple picking, so I wanted to share some tips that are helpful and will make my next time more efficient.
- Research which types of apples will be available and ripe when you are planning to go apple picking, and choose which types of apples you would like to pick.
- Choose a couple recipes and decide how many pounds of apples you will need.
- At my local orchard, 20 pounds of apples cost less than 19 pounds. This means if you buy more, you save more, so bring a friend and split a basket of apples to make things more cost friendly.
- Wear comfortable shoes! Stepping in decomposing apples is no fun in ballet flats.
Happy apple picking! xx, &annabelle
